Storage Market Slowdown

What's the outlook for the storage market? Well, as many of you probably already know, it slowed down during the first half of the year, but analysts are predicting an upturn for the second half of the year.

According to the researchers, the price war between Intel and AMD will greatly help the market. Many believe that as the price war continues, customers will be more interested in buying while they can get a good deal.

Since the merger with Compaq, HP has had a much more positive outlook. EMC is also expected to do well in the third and fourth quarters. According to the article written by Paul Shread: "The survey, which looked at 59 VARs around the globe accounting for $10 billion in annual sales, found that 95% of VARs viewed the second quarter as on or below plan."
