Avanquest's Whiteside Wants to Get on VARs' Good Sides

Avanquest UK, the popular hybrid distributor and software developer, is ready to expand their channel. In this effort, they have appointed Andy Whiteside to join their corporate sales team. His job is to develop the channel for their range of projects, primarily business solutions focusing on unified communications.

According to Chris Thompson, managing director of Avanquest, "We are delighted that Andy has agreed to join the Avanquest Solutions team. Andy’s expertise in the voice processing industry will be a real asset to our growing team and help us to improve on the already impressive business growth we achieved during 2005."

For over a decade, Andy has worked in both corporate and channel environments. Mainly he has worked with companies involved in voice and data processing technology, including unified communications, voice processing, and dictation solutions with an exposure to IP telephony products.

Whiteside had this to say about his new position: "The unified communications arena is at a very exciting stage in its development; products are now able to make a huge difference to employee working practises. Choice is now a reality and the individual decides how best to use the technology available, dependant on which device they prefer. I'm looking forward to new challenges and helping build channel relationships."
