A rhetorical question. But, did you invite ANYONE to go to NECC? Specifically, did you invite your curriculum director or tech director? If you're saying something like, "DOH!" right now, then make a mental note to invite them net year. While you're at it, make a note to make an appointment with that person after the conference so that you two can talk about what you learned there.
When last we spoke/I wrote, i went off about a district that disabled the right click and that blocked all things web 2.0. But, I, too, failed to make a point of seeking out the tech director and the curriculum director to ask if they were going to NECC. I SHOULD HAVE! I WILL, in the future.
Make a mental note! In fact, post yourself an appointment on your calendar for next December to talk to that person to personally invite him.her to the BEST conference they could possibly attend.
