While these tiny models surely will not weigh you down, you must forgo the extras, such as fast hard drive, internal optical drive and extra ports. The battery will run for 2-4 hours depending on your technology. And remember that a small size certainly does not mean a suitable price.

These laptops called thin-and-light are what most students use. At 14-15 cm, their screens are larger than the ultra portables and the keyboard is user-friendly. If you need a laptop with you wherever you are, then a small, lightweight model like the ultra-portable would probably be your choice - especially if you fly a lot. You could almost as a budget desktop, but without the speed or features. For speed, functions and performance for desktop replacement with its three hours of battery and six kilos of weight. But only if you do not need to make it anywhere.
