Israeli Army Uses Wrist Video

For the past year, Israeli soldiers have been wearing Dick Tracy-like small video screens on their wrists that shows them battlefield video from unmanned aircraft.

The V-Rambo system, developed by Tadrian Electronic Systems, gives troops near-real-time battlefield information, helping them to launch attacks before the enemy has time to react. It also helps reduce casualties, especially in the low-intensity urban combat environments in which Israeli troops typically operate.

Tadrian is also developing control technology that would allow soldiers on the ground to directly control unmanned aircraft. In addition to the Israeli military, the company is also developing technology for US, NATO and Asian forces.
