[TIPS] Build your bridge contest

THIS is cool. http://bridgecontest.usma.edu It's the 2007 West Point Bridge Design Contest. Students ages 13 and up can download the software, design the bridge and submit it for national Judging. Teachers can conduct local bridge designing ocntests and track the event with their own web-based scoreboard.

You should see how slick it is. The software tells you how much your bridge will cost, and when you're ready, a truck will try to cross the chasm over your bridge. Will the bridge hold up or collapse under the weight of the truck? Great graphics.

The only down side is that it's a windows only application. I know... I'm broken hearted, too.
