IT Marketing: Your Elevator Pitch

The premise behind the elevator pitch is this: If you meet someone in an elevator on the 20th floor, you should be able to tell them all about your company and why you're different by the time you reach the ground floor. Sounds simple, right? It is, but it's not always easy at first.

As you begin, write out your elevator pitch on an index card and begin practicing it. Stand in front of the mirror and practice. Practice in front of your spouse or business associates. The more you practice, the more at ease you'll become with your spill. Eventually, you'll be able to give your elevator pitch naturally without a second thought.

Remember to keep the same level of energy and enthusiasm every time you say it, even if you've already said it a thousand times. Learn more about developing and giving your elevator pitch in the complete article (link above).
